Entrepreneurship Immersion Week (EIW) is an intensive one week, academic immersion experience for undergraduates from all disciplines to immerse themselves in the skills needed to help them develop new business concepts and apply these skills in a team based business concept competition. Teams of five students from each of the ten EEC member institutions will come together July 29 – August 3, at the host school, John Carroll University
Final presentations of the business ideas will take place on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 8:30am – 12:15pm in the Donahue Auditorium of JCU’s Dolan Science Center

The competition is open to undergraduate students from all majors at the ten EEC partner institutions. EEC partner colleges and universities include Ashland University, Baldwin Wallace University, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State University, Hiram College, John Carroll University, Kent State University, Lorain County Community College, The University of Akron, University of Mount Union.
“The value of this experiential learning program is one of its kind in the region”, says Dr. Jackie Schmidt, Director of JCU’s Entrepreneurship Minor. “We are excited to welcome them on campus and serve as a hub for them to meet fellow student entrepreneurs from across NEO.”

“For one week students are connected to mentors, experts, peers, and an outstanding curriculum. All these things coming together is rare, not a typical thing”, says Victoria Avi, Program Manager at Cleveland State University’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and current President of the Entrepreneurship Education Consortium. “I am proud that Entrepreneurship Immersion Week offers students a way for a successful future whether they become entrepreneurs or innovate within a larger company “.
Entrepreneurship Immersion Week is offered free of charge to students thanks to generous support from the Burton D. Morgan Foundation and the Fred A. Lennon Trust.
